The vortex tube operated system utilizes a stainless steel vortex tube and stainless overall construction which takes compressed air from a small amount of ordinary compressed air and splits it into a hot stream and a cold stream.
The cold end is about 50 degrees F. (28 degrees C) below supply air temperature and is used to “cool” the cutting tool and part while machining.
There is no messy coolant, no hazardous mist, no residue and is low in cost. Quality of the part can be improved and output can be increased significantly more than offsetting air costs. There are no moving parts, no electricity and essentially maintenance free in operation.
Has a strong Magnetic Base to secure the unit to the machine.
The low cost, compact and portable unit operates utilizing a minimal amount of compressed air.

The Nex Flow™ Frigid-X™ Vortex Tube Tool Cooling System is superior to other inferior designs using solid, stainless steel construction for long life compared to many flimsy aluminum units on the market. And yet, it is lower in cost while better in design.
The Nex Flow™ Frigid-X™ Vortex Tube Tool Cooling System comes in various capacities. The larger the capacity the greater the cooling.
The Model 57015FS (single outlet) and Model 57015FD (dual outlet) is suitable for most applications form machining plastics, lighter materials, ceramics and uses only 15 SCFM at 100 psig
Models 57025FS, 57030FS, and 5740FS (single outlet) and Models 57025FD, 57030FD, and 5704FD (dual outlet) use 25, 30, and 40 SCFM at 100 psig respectively with increasing cooling capacity. These higher capacities would be used on tougher materials such as gear machining and on materials where heat generated from machining can be significant.
