Energy costs involved in using the Panel Cooler can be lowered utilizing on-off control with a solenoid and thermostat. The solenoid simply stops the air flow once the desired temperature is reached. And it starts it up when the temperature gets too hot inside the panel. This is extremely effective with variable frequency drives in particular which generate heat on startup and then only cools once a machine is in operation. So the Panel Cooler operates for a relatively short period.
